An analysis of voter sentiments prior to the Lok Sabha 2024 elections

Abstract

This project aims to analyze the priorities of voters in the Bonhoogly – Baranagar area for the upcoming Lok Sabha 2024 election in the Dumdum constituency. Our objectives include understanding the key issues influencing voter decisions and assessing public confidence in Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and the overall process of vote storage and counting. We examine the distribution of priority issues and the level of indecisiveness among voters, segmenting our analysis by gender, religion, age, and income group. Additionally, for eligible respondents, we compare their voting decisions and priorities from the 2019 election with their tentative choices for 2024.
